Revised all 50 site data pages for Canadian chimes
to include identification of the foundry which provided the bells for each instrument,
added 9 new pages for Canadian chimes
(list IX011112.HTM removed to archive in 2007), and revised all affected indexes.
That included adding a page for Warner to the
list of foundries.
Revised the Map Use Hints pages to reflect the discovery
that MapsOnUs does not handle locations outside of the USA.
The new site data pages have no locator maps because the MapBlast service
is again inoperative.

2001/10/16 - Add three site data pages and revised two, all included in a new index of zvons; revised other pages and indexes accordingly.
2001/10/15 - Discovered that the MapBlast free link service which we have been using to provide individual site locator maps has been discontinued without notice, and no feasible [later: read "apparent"] alternative is offered by that provider. Fortunately, the MapBlast direct display service which is used for area locator maps is unaffected, at least for the time being. The possibility of using a similar service from a different source is being investigated.

Revised the 70 site data pages for existing single-phase non-traditional carillons in North America
(list IX011001.HTM removed to archive in 2007)
to include identification of the foundry which provided the bells for each instrument,
and revised all affected indexes.
Added site data page for the non-traditional carillon at
WINAMAC : USA - INand revised all affected indexes and summaries. The total number of such instruments in North America is now 93.
2001/10/11 - Replaced 15 pages from the preceding (10/05) update which had been mysteriously corrupted between creation and upload. (Total recovery from the file corruption problem required purchase of a new hard drive and complete reconstruction from backups, hence the delay of more than a week before this replacement could be done.)
2001/10/05 - Revised the 18 site data pages for multi-phase non-traditional carillons in North America (list IX010930.HTM removed to archive in 2007) to include identification of the foundry which provided each phase of bells for each instrument (as yesterday's work).
2001/10/04 - Corrected the name of the bellfounder for the new traditional carillon at
SPRINGFIELD -- : USA - MORevised the 80 site data pages for multi-phase traditional carillons in North America (list IX010925.HTM removed to archive in 2007) to include identification of the foundry which provided each phase of bells for each instrument (whether they still remain or not), and/or the firm which provided a new keyboard. 2001/07/01 - Added new file CSA_no_more.html, which for the moment is a placeholder for future information. Added new summary of traditional carillons in Central and South America by country. Repaired several incorrect or missing links, targets and index entries.
