   Old glockenspiel, by Henrick van Trier,
   Aachen, had 2 bells cast 1545 plus a
   chime of 12 and a ringing bell cast in
   1564--the first chime in Rhineland.
   One swinger recast 1697 (by Christoph
   van Trier) and 1934 (by Petit &
   Edelbrock); great bell recast 1841 by
   Sebastian Bernard Dubois, Münster (W).
   Two largest seized in WW IIl; the rest
   were destroyed by bombing in 1944.
   Tower also contains 4 swinging bells
   cast in 1964 by Mabilon, Saarburg,
   (C,D,E,F + counterweights) from the
   fragments of the old bells.

     with bells made by Petit & Fritsen
   Prior history:
     In 1564, a complete instrument of 15 bells was installed
       with bells made by the maker cited in Remarks above
       (0 bells remain from that work.)
       Pitch of heaviest bell (excluding sub-bourdon) was C  in the treble octave
       Keyboard range was:  (3)C F 12/    NONE  
       There were no added semitones
