   when First and Third congregations
   merged; bells reportedly inside new
   building, and now purely decorative.

The original church Website, which had photos of the building, is now gone.  The Website of the merged congregation, now here, says nothing about the bells.

The English Wikipedia article about the original building has a clickable photo of it, in which the bells are clearly visible in what was irreverently called by some "Mary Baker Eddy's earring."
