The parent page (see Navigation above) gives the history of the development of the use of tubular bells for tower chimes. An interesting aspect of that history has to do with differences in the sizes of tubes used by the three principal makers. This page presents a tabular comparison of those sizes.
The Note column lists the 32-note range of the largest Deagan tower chime, which exceeds the range of both Harrington and Durfee/USTubular tower chimes. Notes marked "n/a" (not applicable) were not manufactured. Length, diameter and thickness are shown in inches, and weight in pounds. Entries shown as "?" are not yet available, but will be supplied when known. Likewise, Harrington data will be supplied when known.
* - This mark on Deagan trebles indicates that instead of a tube the bell is a solid cylinder with a 4 1/2" deep hole bored in the bottom end to leave the indicated wall thickness.
