News article (Jun'23) about the bell tower of Oregon State University, with photos; the history and description are inconsistent, and don't mention the necessary enlargement of the tower, which might have been done in two phases.  Difficult to play or program anything other than single-note melodies, because the larger bells respond more slowly than the smaller ones.

News article from 2009 (mis-filed as 2001) on dedication of the tower, with original 5 bells

A photo from the university archives, dated 2001, shows the tower with its original five bells.  Although the name "The PapĂ© Campanile" is used here, it does not seem to be in current use elsewhere.

An archived version of the dedication article is dated 10-1-01, though captured in Nov.2010.

A search of the library archives shows that the cover photo of Vol.16 No.2 (Fall 2001) of The Messenger magazine depicted the then-new bell tower; but the publication itself seems to be unavailable.
